| Oprah Winfrey & Tyler Perry present A Lee Daniels Film “PRECIOUS” Posted: 30 Oct 2009 11:03 PM PDT Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry got together to present a very humbling film which is based off on the novel, “Push” by Sapphire. Set in Harlem in 1987, it is the story of Claireece “Precious” Jones (Gabourey Sidibe), a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life no one would want. She’s pregnant for the second time by her absent father; at home, she must wait hand and foot on her mother (Mo’Nique), a poisonously angry woman who abuses her emotionally and physically. School is a place of chaos, and Precious has reached the ninth grade with good marks and an awful secret: she can neither read nor write. Precious may sometimes be down, but she is never out. Beneath her impassive expression is a watchful, curious young woman with an inchoate but unshakeable sense that other possibilities exist for her. Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the chance to transfer to an alternative school, Each One/Teach One. Precious doesn’t know the meaning of “alternative,” but her instincts tell her this is the chance she has been waiting for. In the literacy workshop taught by the patient yet firm Ms. Rain (Paula Patton), Precious begins a journey that will lead her from darkness, pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination.

Lovewright Co. linked up with their close friends The Hundreds, Eddie Hahm of COMMUNE, Eevol Goose & Chase Tofoya to collaborative on a very project for their Holiday 2009 look book. Each collaborator picked their favorite past or current Lovewright graphic and added their own personal aesthetic touch to it. We will let the work speak for itself, each artist did an amazing job on this project. Here’s a look at what’s to come from The Lovewright family.

Nicole Richie expands the accessory line with her new footwear collection presented by House of Harlow. Set to release sometime in January, House of Harlow footwear draws inspiration from tribal patterns and stitching using similar creations from their current jewelry line. It’s all in the detailing and from what I see.. so far so good.

Lots of buzz circulating the net today. I just learned that young entrepreneur, Teyana Taylor, kicks off her sneakers and shows to world that she does have a feminine side with her newest lip gloss release title, “Dope Lips“. I prefer a different brand name but hopefully the product makes up for it. The new collection will include different hues of nude and pinks for a more girly touch. Lets keep watch on this new venture of hers — Check back for more on the launch of her new line. Source: Egypt Said So
