Hands down to uncle Karl for always pushing clean garments down the runway. Always pleasing us with his detailed black and white threads models are seen in nothing but sophisticated pieces. As you can see throughout the collection, Lagerfeld, includes his signature style incorporating black ties, button blouses, fluffed tops and detailed belts. Lets not forget, he never shies away from presenting us with an elegant range of evening wear as well —- its all in the silver lining. Although our high-waisted shorts had a short debut last season, Karl is set for their return come spring 2010. Are you excited?

We already spoke of the details behind Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 Collection, Plato’s Atlantis, but it was the shoes worn on the runway that have been the talk of the town. So much so, that we felt they were deserving of a post devoted soley to the 10-inch art pieces! I wouldn’t dare attempt to wear these hoof-like platform booties, but I am eager to see what celebrity attempts them on the red carpet! Vicky B where you at?! |

The show was streamed live on the internet (before the site crashed) via SHOWstudio.com and needless to say it was a big budget production! Opening with a bang, the show started off with a video of topless Raquel Zimmermann rolling in sand with snakes. The models wore 10-inch hoof-like heels and wore prosthetics above their eyes and on their cheek-bones so as to give off an alienesque/out-of-this-world look. As for the pieces, they speak for themselves with such intricate detailing, the entire collection was executed exceptionally well! |
