To have to lose someone close to you, weather its a friend or family is never easy. And in this instance it is family and honestly I don't know how to react its like that's another heart beat that won't be felt again. As I try to be the family man I am and comfort those more devastated than me I see that the life that was lost isn't really lost. The memories are still there and all the good will be remembered as these tears dry my fam and I can smile. Even though it will be hard and tough to overcome the lose, one thing my family has more than enough of is Moore love. There is no love like Moore love in my eyes and know that the time that "Buddy" was here was a most cherished time. As he passed he has left a grandchild and a great grandchild which are currently on the way, so with that being said always loved and never forgotten.

How is it that when it rains, ...it floods.
I've been through my share of trials and tribulations, and as time goes by the outcome or situation gets bigger.
From just growing into the man that I am, to maintaining as a independent young man who has blown his pass blessings.
I spend my alone time trying to better myself and keep myself away from the nonsense of the world, but I believe that my past immaturity or negligence has shaken me back to reality.
Why me I sometimes ask...is there actions in my past worth losing so much?
Was I lacking being humble?....what
Still I wonder especially as my thumbs stroke the miniature sized buttons on my blackberry, will that type of stability come back.

As of today I've really been doing a lot of thinking, about the good and bad that has happened in the past day/weeks/months an year. All this has had me thinking differently and more positively. I've vowed to myself to worry about me and me only, of course GOD first then me then family. And its in that order because w/o GOD I'm nothing then me cause I need to take care of me before I can take care of or help my la familia. 2010 will be a positive mark on the time line of my life, seeing as in the past years I feel I haven't taken care of responsibilities as I should have through my eyes. Knowing that GOD won't put more on me that I can bear gives me comfort and assurance to my soul, believing that there is something much bigger than what I see on a daily basis and feeling the presence of something much greater than man. This last month has literally been the hardest since getting forced to leave moms house, in my eyes. Dealing with the cut back in funds living with my aunt and her feeling I could care less about her and her fam is just ridiculous. The words " @least make sure Kori ok" has been running through my mind at the speed of light over and over and over. To think that I don't care about my fam or would ever try to jeopardize the well being of my family hurts like hell. Paying 800 for a room for over a year and a half knowing I could have my own shit, and just trying to make sure fam straight is all I really been tryna do. And I see now after last convo that I gotta be on some TEAM OF ME type ish seeing things in a different light. I was told I have to take care of me more than once but not paying it any mind and mow that shit hits the fan I see, that no matter what others think I gotta try to make myself happy and the only person I can change is myself. A word to the wise is sufficient, and as of now its sufficient as fuck. Its 2010 and I no longer have time for stress, drama, fake friends, and wack fam. Not saying this because of todays situation but to help you understand it like this:
*if you call me a friend and I have to try to kick it with you all the time to hang out (fake friend)
*if you complain about people to me and hang with them all the time (fake friend)
*if you never came to see me or hang with me on some you my nigga type shit (horrible friend)
* you only hit me when you need something and always got your habd out --90%--of the time (fake fam)
*when I have I give and wken I NEED and you had and never gave (fake fam)
*if I give you my last and you still complainin about shit (drama)
*mad at how shit is and now that you around and its not diff you mad (drama)
*say imma bad !whatever! Cause I'd rather not be where I can't be comfy so I leave (bullshit)
And etc. I. Don't need the stress and won't consider it or have. it in my life anymore.

But to continue I'm all about LB if you don't know him you don't know me or even Brandon Jerel Leggette for fam, imma be easy on some, not all but most. Watch if this is to you you'll see the change. Again today as ive been having lately its been a unproductive day, a day that i unfortunetly did nothing but sat on my black ass. But tomorrow will be different not because i go to my much appreciated low pay part-time job but because ill also be going out to fill out apps. Im gonna start going into overdrive with finding a j.o.b "job". And reason being is because i need another job and because i DO NOT want to move back to fontucky aka FONTANA. The fact that my family mother, brother, sister, and best friend lives out there is not enough to make me make that big move. Ive really realized that this is a recession, before i knew it was a recession and jobs had been really scarse but it didnt affect me so it wasent something i cared to much about. Now im faced with the problems and hardship of the recession. The scarcity in jobs, the hike in taxes and the financial deficit that has put americans in a bind on spending. I went from buying 4-6 pairs of shoes a week living at my aunts to barely spending money period paying 800 for a room living with another aunt. I know I know 800 for a room i might as well have my own spot well thats just one of my many bad decisions made being young and yes dumb. But as i get older and much wiser day by day im changing and believing that "a word to the wise is sufficient". So with that being said in this new year thats my mission and im on some new shit its called "team of me" if your friendship isnt gonna benefit me your not gonna be that, and if your aura is giving to much negativity i dont need you around me, sorry but it is what it is.

Welcome to the first installment of the official Saint Alfred newsletter! We have a good amount to update you with. We will be releasing the eagerly awaited Converse Product Red x Fragment Design Chuck Taylor Lows. Also we are psyched to let you know that we will be dropping a little known project we have been working on for some time now. Coupled with all this we have a new New Era to offer… all one day after Christmas (this Saturday), so shake off the itis and head over.

First off this Saturday we will be one of a select few stores to be releasing the 3rd installment of the Fragment X Project Red Chuck Taylor Low. Hiroshi Fujiwara brings subtle details to the table with this shoe. The overall look of this collaboration is clean with its navy canvas upper and classic rubber toe–cap; There is a tonal converse logo tag on the tongue; fragment logo on the heel and what really stands out to me is the dark navy rubber toe box. This shoe looks great and will move fast. Phone orders will be accepted on Saturday, first come first serve.

Its been kept on the low for some time now, but we have been working on a collaboration with the well respected Japnese brand Bedwin. For those of you who do not know Bedwin is a Tokyo based brand that has been creating some waves in Japan. Bedwin craftily pulls of a great balance of well thought out materials, quality construction, and simple and stylish design. Bedwin’s mantra is “Paramount Quality”, this couldn’t be closer to the truth. We are extremely excited to be carrying Bedwin and even more excited to have collaboration with them. Quantities of this collaboration are extremely limited. Phone orders will be accepted.

The 30th anniversary camera was given a black base with royal blue accents and co-branding on the 3 inch LCD screen. That’s right, she’s gearing up for her very own fragrance titled, “Heat”. Beyonce will release her new project in February with an estimated sale of $100 million during its first year. Heat was inspired by Knowles past performances featuring fire and also her love for the colors red and gold. She noted "So then we thought of making the bottle look like it's on fire. I love antique bottles — my mother had a collection of them when I was growing up. I wanted something with an antique yet modern feeling.” “The bottle, I felt, was a great mixture of the two."

The scent is a concoction of Givaudan's Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin, has top notes of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach; a heart of honeysuckle nectar, almond macaroon and crème de musk, and a drydown of giant sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber. Heat will be available in three sizes — 1 oz. for $39; 1.7 oz. for $49, and 3.4 oz. for $59 — as well as a 6.8-oz. Gold Sparkling Body Lotion for $24.

In conjunction with Fitted Hawaii x Element "Kaholo" sneaker, Fitted Hawaii put together a t-shirt and a new New Era fitted hat to coincide with the “Kaholo” release. The t-shirt is called Culture, printed on charcoal heather gray with a collage of vintage Hawaiian tattoo patterns, which defines the cultural aspect of the name. The New Era fitted hat, called Kakau, translates to tattoo and features an all over pattern of the same tattoo pattern seen on the t-shirt in black nylon with yellow banding around the inside sweatband.

NIKE MENS JANUARY 2010 SELECTIONS:

New blue Toki Mid (this is just the GS version of the Toki; therefore, it doesn't have the Zoom Air insole as the QS leather jumpoff we got in a month ago) and the winner of this month's releases IMO is this lovely leather Blazer Mid '09 ND. Sometimes Nike takes chances with established silhouettes. Sometimes it works. Sometimes its "eh". This time it works. Say hello to the Mad Jibe Mid. I really like how the designers took the popular Mad Jibe dock shoe and didn't just add material to it to make it a Mid. Speaking of the Lunaracer outsole, here are two extra fly silhouettes: Lunaracer +2 (with the lime green outsole) and Lunar Rejuven8 Mid + (with the yellow outsole). I cannot speak enough on how much everyone at the shop REALLY likes these two models. They are both lighter than a hummingbird passing gas. For as teched out the Lunaracer is, it is a very aesthetically pleasing shoe that I think you can rock on the casual tip; as well as out for a 2 mile run at night. The Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+ is a hybrid of the Lunaracer and Rejuven8. Kind of reminds me of the woven Nike Desert Boots from early 2000s, but in this case the upper is the Rejuven8 punched diamond frame with a thin mesh over it (looks like a veil). Excellent details. Patta and Nike continue their ongoing relationship with this beautiful pair of Air Max 1 Premium sneakers. The black canvas material mixed with ballistic nylon completes each other very well. The AM1 also feature Patta’s block logo on the tongue tag and Patta script on the rear panel, both in jade green for that extra pop.

We apologize for the delay on this post. During Thanksgiving weekend we had the pleasure of hitting up Tantra for Cool Friday presented by the “Cool” fellas of LAx Paperboys. This was beyond packed, the music was on point and the vibe was just right. Not one still body in the building and everyone broke a sweat all for the love of music. Skeme killed his set — props to him for the great show. Let me tell you, if you come to any function when we’re around, you too can be our next “caught in the act” suspect. Yours Truly “Fuck the Economy” Holiday 2009 Collection

It’s been a long time coming for Jenny of Yours Truly. She’s pleased to announce her newest collection for Holiday 2009 titled, “Fuck the Economy”. Jenny adds more selection this season with reversible funnel neck tops, reversible zippered mini, leggings with ankle zippers, long sleeve raglan with striped pattern accent, and a dress with asymmetrical shoulders and adjustable length side drawstrings. The refreshing new approach is definitely a great transition for the brand. This line will be available on the Yours Truly Brand website and select retailers worldwide within the next week.

In her own words, here’s what she had to say about their 2nd year anniversary release. “The “Fuck the Economy” collection is Yours Truly’s crooked and controversial approach in retaliation to the economic crisis that we are living through. The checkered craigslist pattern was created using real New York City craigslist ads. The graphic and photo tees are also inspired by the depressed economy and include statements like “Ain’t nothing going on but the rent,” “Fucking Economy,” and “New York City – Where else could I get away with this shit.” The lookbook takes you inside the life of a modern day New York fashionista, who with no food or money to pay the rent, still manages to look fierce and live a fabulous life.”
